You have to feel good about yourself. It essential for your soul and happiness. Some may go against the grain and be rebellious, but most want to look a certain way. Forget looking a certain way but you do need to feel good about yourself. Actually you need to feel GREAT about yourself. Turn this life your living around right after you read this blog. Go do someting that makes you happy and start making steps to feel good about yourself. If you do this I promise you will be so much happier. A different breed

There is a different type out there, they are rare but true. They view the world differently than the rest. They are good people, with heart, and humility. I have meet so many great people and it is happening everyday. I went to a Rich O Toole concert last night and wow it was awesome. He was a great guy and I would definetly put him in this category. You will know that this person is different right when you meet him. My friends are all this way they are great people and are true to the core. I think theres so many people in this world that have to much to offer and we need to get out and find them. Explore the world , talk to people , find out who they really are and what makes them tick. Its a beautiful life we live and with so many people the possibilities to what we can achieve are out of this world. Literally. Life is good and I want you to go out and enjoy . Enjoy this life we live and never let anyone hold you back. Do what ever it is you want and make your mark!!!!! This is our world and the different breed needs to take the control.

CHANGE OF DIRECTION IN THE WIND

Ryan Binghams song direction in the wind talks about how society is going to change and its coming. His style if comparable to Bob Dylan is some ways and that song is alot like times are changin. I have decided to change my style and go hardcore on my blogs. I got advice from a friend who said you got great ideas matt you just need to write better and elaborate more. I am taking this advice and I going to fly with it. From here on out I am going to do one blog a week. It will come out on Friday and I going to put everything in my blog and try my best to make it my best work. What a Memory

My parents planned on coming to see me about three weeks ago and I was very excited, untill out of no where my friends decided to come see me also.I didnt know how it was going to go down, but I thought it could be great!! My family and my friends get along great theres no problem there , its just sometime I would rather hang out with each on their own. I was nervous I didnt know if my mom would be mad, but I knew we could possibly have alot of fun. My friends were getting in at 3 a.m so me and my dad stayed up drinking red bull and the green drink. They arrived and we ended up staying up all night jamming on the deck. The next day we all went out to Padre Island National Park and it was amazing!!! It was a Saturday I will never forget. We grilled, played football and just had a great time.My family is amazing and I love them more than anything,  I was nervous about nothing. Memories like this are all we got. Life is short and we need to make the most of it. My friend Alex that came down had a notebook and it said treat everyone like its the last time you see them . Wow I really got alot from that one. Life is all about memories. One day I will look back on this last weekend and smile.

Playing the game.

People say lifes a game. From my perspective life is no game, in my world lifes nothing to joke about. Its obvioulsy a messed up world and there needs to be a change. If lifes a game then that means it doesnt matter what the outcome is because its just for fun right? no. Life is no game it's hardcore.The sad part is to be able to move yourself up in the and make a change you have to play this game. In my line of work I have learned that alot of people are racist.Its pretty obvious why im around people like this and its because they are older than me and thats the way it is. These people grew up in a different age. They are smart people but they are ignorant on race and they have been taught this from childhood. I have learned how to play the game though. I listen and take every piece of knowledge from them that I can. I observe like a hawk and soak in any tips I can find. Everyday waiting untill I can completly destroy the meaning of playing the game.

Real Business

I have thrown myself into a completely new world. I have never been surrounded by business like this. People are cut throat, people are sneaky, people have gone to a primal stage. When we were kids everybody shared and now everybody takes. The environment which we grew up in changed us. We're thrown into this world and told to survive. People only care about themselves.  I can not stand it and I will not become it. This is business but not my style of business. Im not going to try and steal a client or use tactics to procure a buyer or seller. No false promises; just 100% pure hard work. Real business means tactics, money, and cut throat.  Real business should mean honesty, integrity, and respect. Ill never understand someone who only cares about him or herself. I'm going to stick to my values and beliefs a I try to make it in this business. I will stick to my idea of real business and I hope whatever your doing in life you can succeed by doing in the way it should be done. Life is tough but I believe if you do the right thing it will all work out. I hope you can take something from this feel free to leave any comments

If its meant to be

My client and I have been zoned in on one particular house. This house is beautiful, it is in the lakes of Corpus Christi. I have been doing alot of research on this house trying to find out about the foundation, the roof, the utilities basically every expense my client would be a paying. Today the other agent called me and said that there is a potential offer and we need to place an offer quick if we would like to have a chance at this house. Sounds like a tactic to me what are your thoughts? I called my client and let to let her know what he said and she said the most important thing "if its meant to be it will happen." Its crazy to me how I know all theses things but sometime just to hear it really helps. If anything is meant to be in life it will happen. There is a plan. I not only took this advice in our real estate situation but im not applying it to my life. Then another word of advice came from an agent in my office and it once again was something I already knew but it was nice to hear it. She said if I can give you any advice "I would say take it slow and enjoy everyday, life goes by way to quick." I have been inspired today to be a better person and Im very happy as I am writing this right now. Life is great and I couldnt ask for anything .

Second Showing

I met my clients at Ihop before the start of day two. We had a good breakfast; then headed out to look at the 2 houses they liked from the day before. They ended up deciding which one the really liked but there is one problem. The house has foundation problems. Thats a deal breaker. They went back to San Antonio yesterday and they are currently trying to sell their house. I have to do another search today and try to get them their dream retirement home!!! I hope everyone is doing good its a beautiful time of the year. I am exhausted from working at Papa Johns and showing houses all weekend. No complaints thought im on the grind!! My girl friend lexi is starting to make crosses and she made her first one yeaterday. It was BEAUTIFUL!! I am going to help her market herself through a blog and twitter just like I am doing so feel free to check her out. I will leave links in the upcoming week to show what shes doing. She is making them from scratch and she is an extremly gifted person. You will see what I mean. Today is a great day to be alive and I hope everyone makes the best of it.

On the Grind (my first showing)

I just got back from showing 11 houses. Who ever said real estate was easy has no idea what they are talking about. Im not complaining or anything but man that was tough. I am exhausted been running around driving all day making phone calls and always trying to keep my clients happy. I brought a cooler of coke and water and I was the only one who drank it lol. I even got the coke in the glass I thought I would keep it classy lol jk. Serioulsy thought, it was crazy and I am dead tired. They really liked two houses they saw and I think I have gained their trust so we can move forward in the process." Remember always keep the deal moving forward." (Mario Jannatpout) We are going back to the island tomorrow to look at the two houses they liked and two more houses that just came on the market today. I keep telling myself work hard and be professional; it will pay off. Im not at all giving up just a little tired but thats not a problem. This business really is hard work and thats what I am all about. I thank God for my opportunities and I will try to take full advantage of them every day. Till tomorrow im back on the grind.

Real Estate Preview

I am showing 9 houses tomorrow with my first true client. She is coming in from San Antonio and looking to retire here in Corpus Christi Texas. I went and looked at all the houses so I would be more comfortable explaining them. It paid off because I got lost twice, I had to do a little off roading, and I found one of the houses has already been sold. I printed out sheets on the assesed value for my client so she can compare the values and look what the tax record says. I think just to make their experience a little bit better I am going to buy a couple gatoraids and put them on ice in a cooler in the back of my truck. I drove around listening to Mario Jannatpour's audio book and got a lot of great tips for tomorrow.I'm am really excited about showing my client what Corpus Christi has to offer and hopefullty finding them a good place to retire!!! Im going to get a hardcore workout in tonight because I always get to excited about events like this and the night before I cant sleep. I figure if I go hardcore at the gym I will basically pass out when I get home. Tomorrow is a big day for me and I hope I can help out! Its time

My friends came in. I can't explain how much that really means but it was awesome. I had a talk with one of my oldest and truest friends Alex. He showed me what he meant to me and what I meant to him. We sat around talking like old times and it was unexplainable. We talked about the past and we smiled. We talked about the future and he really inspired me! I don't think he even knows how much he inspired me but thats how life is. We go day to day not knowing what everything means but we try our best. Then one day we realize this was all part of a plan something greater than us!!! Lets realize this and make everyone around us know how much they mean to us. I just sent my grandparents an email after talking to alex telling them what I am doing and how much I appreciate everything they have ever done for me. My grandpa was a Jet Pilot in World War 2 and my grandma was and is one of the greatest people I know. I thank God for them!! I just hope they are around to see me and my kids grow up. Life is sad that way and we can not control it. We can live in the moment and tell them we love them while we can and appreciate everything we have!! I am thankful for everything in my life and I want to say thanks to all of you how helped me along the way .

I got my business cards and I began passing them out!! Im really excited just trying to grow my brand and be myself along the way. Burning Desire

Burning Desire

You need to find your burning desire. I don't know if the burning desire is a trait encoded in our dna or if you can reach down deep into you heart and find it, but I do know if you want to do something big you need it!! There is something I call fire eyes and I can see it in people when they are 110% motivated. Its the eye of the tiger saying nothing is going to hold me back. Its a change in mentality and an altered mind-set." If they cut off my legs I will keep running I dont run with them, I run with my heart." Robert Mcleod (future U.S Navy Seal) I think you can find this trait that will allow you to accomplish anything. You just have to take a second isolate your self from the entire world and find out what is it you really want to do. Why are you here. What do you want to prove and who do you want to prove wrong. In this world its sad but true; you are not given respect you gain respect. Most people don't care what is going on in your mind or if you're simply a good person and these people are obstacles, but they are obstacles that we must go straight through using the burning desire. The burning desire is something that has no limits. It is powerful beyond measure only you can control it. You must control it because you cant lose yourself and become something your not. You never want to be " one of them" the people who think they are better, the people who don't listen, or care one thing about another human being on this earth. People are just straight up wrong and they are the ones in control. The people are supposed to control the government not the government control the people its all backwards. We must find the burning desire and become one. One for the people and for the world. We can make this world a better place and its not going to happen by sitting on the couch drinking a beer watching television. It all starts with finding the burning desire!!!!

First Contract (story for begining agents)

My first contract was with that man I told you about who lives in the area by the oil field.The man with the 9 year old daughter. You remember that area that looks like a seen from a horror movie.  I showed him a couple houses that he loved. I was told this man was rough around the edges.When I met him I realized what some people think is rough around the edges is nothing what I think. I have grown up around some pretty hardcore guys. Sweet Lynn is about as hardcore as they come.All of my uncles are pretty rough guys so this guys seemed more like a regular dude to me.  He ended up taking me to dinner which I would normally love execpt for the fact that I had just ate at my favorite mexican resturant Taqueria El Alteno # 3. I had 3 breakfast tacos, chips and salsa and a modelo. I didn't want to be rude so I ate again; guess what kind of resturant we went to ... Mexican lol I. I had a full plate and I left the resturant as full as I have ever been. The next day we put in an offer for 75 with the seller paying 5 of the closing costs. The seller counter offered by crossing out the 5 on the closing costs and my client got mad. He thought this was disrespectful and he said forget it!! I saw his rough side come out a little more as he was yelling on the phone. He wasn't yelling at me. He was mad at the seller and expressing the anger through me. He was sayin ...... Well ok im not going to go into details. I tried to explain to him its ok we can counter offer back, and our first offer was in essence a counter offer. He didn't care he said "we will find another one." I knew we could but it would be tough and I really wanted to get his daughter out of this area quickly .This was the perfect house for him in his current situation. I came to realize that we werent going to get this house. So I started looking again.This move afterall was 100% his call, he was in charge. I learned from Mario Jannatpour to never get discouraged on showing a client a lot of houses.He once showed 106 houses before he got his client the right one. I called the seller and told them I am sorry but his first offer is going to be his final offer. I wasnt thinking that the seller was going to do anything about this.  I thought the deal was over, but I was wrong the seller called me back two hours later and said we will take it!!!  My first contract!!!! I know there is alot that goes on after a contract is signed ( inspection, replacements ect. )  and I am about to get into the process. The closing date is September 30. I will keep you updated on how it goes, but for those new agents like myself dont think the contract is all you need!!! keep going and do your best. Hard work pays off. Do your best for your client, never try to make a quick comission, and never tell your client he is wrong around not getting a certain house. Hopefully you can learn something from my first contract or just enjoy my story.

Higher class

  One human quality that I can't stand ( actually absolutely hate) is people believing they are in a "higher class". A "higher class" to these people means the car they drive, the house they own, the clothes they wear, and the way they act.
  A HIGHER CLASS should mean the way you help, the way your words have a great message to the people around you, being honest, being trusted by the people around you, and most of all staying humble.
  I have been seeing this" higher class" a lot lately being in the real estate business. It makes me sick to see people walking around acting like they are better than everyone else. The sad part is that I can tell they are not truly happy and thats all we got in this life.
  I see doctors and lawyers who don't know one single thing about their kids. They have a nanny take care of them and thats how the kids are raised. They forget about time and let money control them. They use the quote "time is money." I hate that quote because if time is money then money should be time. You can not buy time with money therefore time is priceless. Is money priceless?
  I think I will make money in my life and I will try everyday not to become like one of these people from the " higher class" but to be a man with my feet grounded and the soil on my boots. I don't think I am better than any person on earth. We are all trying to find happiness.  Happiness is all we have. I read a book Into The Wild about a man named Christopher Mccandless he set out for Alaska in spite of society. He burned all his credit cards, gave his $20000 of savings to charity and left. Before he died in the mountains of Alaska he came to one conclusion. "Happiness is shared." I took this message Chris left in and it would forever be branded in my heart. He is 100% right.
  So before you put yourself above people and put your self in this "higher class" remember happiness is shared.

Goals

Having a goal is essential to life. To wake up everyday and have something to work forward to gives you a reason to keep going. Goals are very important to being happy. To work towards your future goals every single day will give you a feeling of purpose. The best part about it is that if you are serious about something you can accomplish anything. My feeling about goals began when I was very little, when I would watch the movie Rudy I would get chills up my spine and tears would fill my eyes when he ran on to the Notre Dame football field ;as every one was chanting his name RUDY RUDY RUDY . He lived his entire life hearing people say "you will never be a Notre Dame football player." Then he proved them wrong . His day finally came and if you've seen the movie you know it was magical!!!  The first time I set a goal was in high-school. I had played baseball all of my life and it was very important to me. I grew up playing with my brother and my mom was at everyone of our games. I was not best baseball player but I would consider myself a above average. Coming into high- school at Round Rock as a baseball player was going to be awesome I could not wait. The only problem was I did not make the team. I wasn't fast enough. I was shocked I felt like everyone I knew would be disappointed in me. I walked home that day and I have to admit I was in tears. I had never failed at something I truly cared about.  Something went off in me that would change my life forever. I decided I wasn't going to give up on baseball and I was going to try out next year. I went all out training harder and longer than I knew anybody would be. I wanted to find out if a person could accomplish anything they set their mind to. Everyday I was working, running sprints, hitting at the cages; I wanted this more than anything I had ever wanted in my life. I knew everyone thought I was done with baseball and I wanted to prove them wrong. The next year tryouts came and I made Round Rock Dragons Varsity baseball team !!! From that year forward my life would always have a goal. I now know I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. Right now I have set my goal on real estate and making it in this business with hopes of one day having the chance to make a difference. Goals are great for the soul and they give you a path. I recommend setting goals for yourself and make them BIG!!!! the only thing that can stand in your way is yourself.

Being a good guy

I believe being a good person is the most important thing you can do. A good person means to be honest, humble , helpful, strong, tough, and to never forget where you came from . I have met alot of great guys and women throughout my life and I have learned from them and tried to keep them close to me as I continue through my journey. I believe if your a good person good things will happen to you and if good things happen to you you can make a difference!!!!! People will definitely notice you and can get a feeling from you to tell what your about and what you stand for. In the real estate business I feel I already have a bad image just because of other agents. Agents that try to make a quick sale and dont really act in the best interests of their client. I am working with a man right now who is living in a place that looks like a scene from a movie where the world is ending.  He has a house on a lot where three oil companies ( I  dont want to get started on oil companies )  are buying all the properties and basically taking over the land. He told me about how there is crack heads that stay out in this area and how fires start in the field by his house from the oil company and its really hard for me to hear this. I have been fortunate my whole life and never dealt with any situation like this. The worst part is that this man has a 9 year old daughter. I have a new goal as of now and its to get this man out of this area as fast as I can !!!!!I will not try to make a quick sale for commission and I will try to change to view of a real estate agent one client at a time and most importantly ill try to be a good person.

geting started in Real Estate

I have learned alot already in real estate. I have made mistakes and I thought I would share them with you so that if you are getting started in real estate you could learn from my mistakes. First thing I learned is you got to watch out for people that are trying to use you. People that will get, get, get, and never give back . Be carefully when agreeing to do an open house for another agent in your office because its mainly done to satisfy the seller. You can get a sale from a buyer coming in, but those chances are small, I recommend just doing your own open house.  I would say dont  take an open house because your not busy thats not a good excuse. GO TO THE BEACH !! lol sorry to all thoses who dont live by the beach, I dont mean to rub it in.  I have also learned if you dont know something dont try and act like you do . Example a agent at my office asked me what how to spell cumma laude and I acted like I knew and wrote kuma late lol. The agent didnt know I was wrong but after I learned this I felt like an idiot. The last thing as of right now is that if you want to list a FSBO call the owner and ask them if you can take a look at their house. Then set up a meeting and afterwards leave them you card. Then a week later write them a letter and  theres a good possibility  they will decide to list their house with you. If not its still a good way to give someone your card and get your name out there. The Life

The life we live is so amazing, yes theres alot to complain about but youve got to get past that and smile while you try to make your difference along the way. I think people take many things for granite and live life to fast. I do it myself but I try my best to catch myself and learn from my mistakes. I realize conditions are horrible in other places of the world and it truly depresses me. I want to make a difference hopefully I will be able to travel along my path of real estate and college for now and make a difference along the way. I will definitely try my best along the way. My real estate style as an agent is not to make a quick sale but to be a master of my profession and learn as much as I can. I am currently working at Papa Johns pizza also because its a steady pay check and also I like the people I work with. I hope in my blog I will be able to make people smile and feel better about life. This is my first blog and im going to try and do my best to make a difference thanks alot for taking time out of your day.
